I appose. I feel we are sacrificing beauty and nature to accommodate increased visitors who do not have the best interest of the environment or the local culture.

IDT is pushing this for tourists en route to Yellowstone and to please truckers flying through our community.

I would love to go faster in Island Park and get to my cabin quicker. However, there is so much more than shortening your travel time. Driving slower saves fuel and gives you better gas mileage saving you money. That is especially important right now with higher gas prices. You can see more of the beautiful scenery we call Island Park. I would rather see more of the area than just driving fast. See more Moose, deer, elk. I saw a buzzard not too long ago. On a divided highway are you going to see those things if they allow a divided roadway? How hard it it going to be just to cross the road? i am definitely NOT in favor.
